I have two dogs... a blue heeler named Lucy and a Basenji mix named Murphy.  That puppy in the picture is Murphy.  He got under this pillow all by himself.  He always does this.  It's his thing.

look at me, i'm a college graduate

On Saturday I graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas.  Got my BS in Child Learning and Development. Have no idea what I'm going to do with it, but I'm looking for jobs. Hopefully something interesting pops out at me.  Anyway, graduating was super.  I was the third person to walk the stage out of everyone there (which was good because the girl next to me kept saying how she was nervous, and that started to make me nervous).  After the graduation, we went outside to take pictures.  Then we went out to San Miguel's later that night. Then watched the Cowboys whoop up on the Saints (what an awesome graduation present).  Later that night we went to a party.  It was great times.  My dad flew into town, and we had a great time chillin'.

After I graduated. My dad and sister took a picture with me. My dad brought the urn with my mom's ashes that he has.  My sister and I both have smaller ones.  It was sweet that he brought the urn... he said that my mom always wanted to see me graduate.  He got real emotional over it all.  I told him "sorry it took me 7 years to graduate".  Seriously, I wish I would have graduated while my mom was still alive.  I'm still glad I graduated because I know she really really wanted me to.


My sister and my bestie... so happy they came out.  Not only did Catrina, Ame, and my dad come out to my graduation, but Derek, Jason, Matthew, and Christine all did too.  It was nice having so many loved ones come cheer me on at graduation.

So yeah... it was a great great great great great day.  So happy that school is finally done!  It's taken a while... took time off when my mom passed away... kept changing my major... and a lot of my classes ended up being no credit because of this.  But I got through it all and am officially a college graduate!

Folk you Nick Folk

Alright, yes the Dallas Cowboys have lost the last 2 games. And although I am not going to put the blame on any one person... I will tell you that Nick Folk pisses me off!  A lot.  I want him gone.  Or at least benched.

But Tony Romo, I'm a strong supporter of Tony Romo. Even when he's not doing that well... because I've seen him bounce back.  I'm pissed the Cowboys are in 3rd place for total offense, but are like 13th or something when it comes to points scored. Cause we just cannot score.  We cannot run.  And Garrett has Romo throwing short passes, not even trying to throw the long ball.  So I've been arguing with people about Tony Romo forever... me stating he's a good quarterback (I'm not saying he is elite, I'm saying he's good) while everyone else wants to talk about the Payton Mannings and Drew Breeses of the league.  Okay... I am not saying Tony Romo is in the same category as these guys... but he's not bad!  He's a good guy who just needs to be given more of a chance to shine... and I believe that's coming with the New Orleans game.  I'm hoping.  Everyone also keeps going "Oh the Cowboys have New Orleans on Saturday. They're gonna lose".  You can think that, but I'm not going to think that.  The last 2 games New Orleans has won have been pretty close.  So I think we have a shot if we don't get stopped on the 1 yard line or miss easy field goals.

Something else I want to state about the Cowboys... dude we gotta get more aggressive with the running game.  Defenses know we don't run the ball well, so they go out and double cover wide receivers etc.  They let off the running game because they know we're only going to pick up a few yards here and there.  I love Marion Barber, but the man is not as fast as our other two running backs.  I'm seeing it, you're seeing it.  Let him wait to do shit until the end... let him pound it in at the end of the game.  Use Choice and Jones more.  That's all I'm saying. :)

Alright sorry for the long Cowboys rant.  Ready for Saturday.  Just picked up a Miles Austin jersey.  Holla.
